Md. Syed Munsif Ali, the founder director of NRBC Bank listed on the capital market, recently sold a large amount of shares of the bank in four phases. The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) said that he sold a total of 12 million shares. Currently, he has only 13 lakh 54 thousand 645 shares left in his hands.
DSE sources said that in the first phase, he announced the sale of 3 million shares on August 26, 2025 and completed the sale on September 4. In the second phase, he announced the sale of another 3 million shares on September 9 and completed the sale on September 15.
In the third phase, he announced the sale of another 3 million shares on September 21. Later, this share sale was completed on the morning of September 28. Finally, on the afternoon of September 29, he announced the sale of another 3 million shares in the fourth phase, which is scheduled to be completed by October 30.
In total, Syed Munsif Ali previously held a total of 143,04,645 shares. After selling 12 million shares in four phases, he now has only 1,354,645 shares left.
Market participants believe that such continuous share sales at the entrepreneur director level may have a negative impact on investor confidence. However, the DSE has said that all transactions are being carried out legally and in accordance with the rules.
